Intense Points Battles Shaping Up For Modified and Sportsman Divisions As Fonda Drivers Prepares For Night Of Features Finale

FONDA, NY – The regular season at the Fonda Speedway will come to a close on Saturday night with the annual “Night of Features” finale where once again the Modifieds, Sportsman and Pro-Stocks will take center stage to decide the 2018 champions in their respected divisions.

Both the Modified and Sportsman divisions have extremely tight point races. In the modified division, multi time track champion Bobby Varin leads Josh Hohenforst by just 2 points heading into Saturday nights main event. Bobby Varin has been hot as of late, taking home 3 of the last 4 modified main events at the Speedway, but Hohenforst has been a model of consistency all year and they are laser focused on winning the championship. In fact, they were at the track on Wednesday night doing some testing in preparation for Saturday just to make sure everything was ready to go.

The Sportsman division features a 5 car race for the 2018 championship between current points leader Chad Edward and Tony Farone, Nick Scavia, Ray Zemken and Cody Clark. Those five drivers are separated by just 24 points, with the top 3 being separated by only 7.

Be sure to join us on Saturday night (8/18) as we crown our 2018 Champions at the Fonda Speedway!
